On Tuesday, RHS recognized Bronco Leaders, celebrated Halloween, and had their second annual costume contest. There were a lot of great costumes! These were the winners from each category: Joey Hurla (Freshman) as a Boy Scout, Slayde Nuss and Trey Zorn (Sophomores) as Racer Trey and his biggest fan Slayde, Derek Chesney (Junior) as a Banana, Kierra Eck (Senior) as Mac and Cheese, and Mr. Miller (Staff) as a Teddy Bear. A big thanks goes out to Mr. Brown for making the amazing medals for the contest winners. Ms. Kasselman, her classes, and various parents also get a big thanks for donating goodies for the delicious snack bags, decorating them, and putting them all together. There were 54 Bronco Leaders from September to October. Overall, it was a fun afternoon at RHS!

On Tuesday, USD 407 celebrated students from all four buildings who were recognized for continually displaying the character trait for October- Responsibility. This year, RHS will be partnering with other schools in the district and recognizing two students each month who personify the character trait of the month. For September, our character trait was respect. We are excited to announce that Hannah Gideon and Mason Rohr received the most nominations and are the students being recognized! Our staff member who was recognized for displaying respect was Mr. Manabat. Below you will find snippets from each person's nominations to see how they display respect. Congrats to all!
Hannah shows respect by listening to her peers and adults when they speak; waiting for her turn before doing things; always following directions; being honest and kind to others; actively helping others in the school; and asking questions in an appropriate manner.
Mason is a bright young man who is respectful to all students regardless of their ability. He helps other students when asked. Mason is always polite and kind to everyone he interacts with and is a joy to be around.
Mr. Manabat is always respectful in his interactions with students, parents, and co-workers. He takes pride in doing a good job and makes sure that those he interacts with are comfortable and feel respected.
