ART IN THE PARK
The RHS DRAMA and MUSIC DEPARTMENTS are presenting "ART IN THE PARK" on Monday April 26th from 6pm-8pm at Lincoln Park. RHS students will present visual and performing arts of all kinds. The event is open to the public and FREE to attend. Make sure to bring your lawn chairs. RHS CONCESSIONS will provide food for sale. Community participation is welcome and encouraged. School will begin 2 hours late on Tuesday, April 20th due to road conditions. Classes will begin at 10:00 A.M. There will be no morning preschool. Breakfast will not be served. Stay safe and stay tuned for further updates.
Due to impending weather, all of the baseball and softball games hosted by Russell High School today will begin at 3:00, instead of 4:00 p.m. as originally scheduled.

The Science Fair is next week in the Bickerdyke Elementary School Gym! Set up will be after school on Wednesday, April 7th. Judging will be during the school day on Thursday, April 8th. The Fair will be open to the public Thursday evening 5:00 - 7:00pm. The Fair will be open to the public again during the school day on Friday, April 9th, 7:45am - 2:30pm. Projects need to be taken down by 4:00pm Friday. Masks are required and Social Distancing rules apply in the BES Gym when visiting The Science Fair. Thank you for your participation and cooperation in making this event successful and safe for everyone.
The Driver's Ed Parent/Student Meeting will be March 31 at 6 pm in the RHS Cafeteria. Masks are required to attend. To sign up, your student must be 14 years of age by June 1, 2021. Contact RHS for questions at 785-483-5631.

Bickerdkye Elementary School's Science Fair will be April 7th - 9th. Information and permission forms have been sent home with interested students. The display supplies offered for purchase through BES are an optional way to get your backboard and subtitles. It is simply more convenient for some people to order through the school, but you are certainly welcome to get those materials on your own. Project supplies are the responsibility of the participant(s). If you need guidance in finding supplies or equipment, please contact Mrs. Krug at skrug@usd407.org or call 785-483-6066. Attention High School Parents,
Here is an update about RHS Parent-Teacher Conferences for this Thursday, February 25, 2021. Please note that RHS has switched conferences from ZOOM to in-person, from 3:45-7:45 PM. Conferences will take place in the RHS big gym, and parents will have the opportunity to meet with teachers at their convenience all in one location. If you prefer to still attend via ZOOM, please email the teacher you would like to meet with to set up a virtual conference. For in-person conferences, you will not need a scheduled appointment and can meet with teachers as they are available. Teachers will have their computers with them in the gym, and can seamlessly switch from in-person to ZOOM and back again throughout the evening. RHS feels it is important to provide the in-person and ZOOM options, so as to check in about your student's academic and social-emotional progress heading into the spring and preparing for next year.
Reminder: Masks are required at all times in the gymnasium. Social-Distancing measures will also remain in place as per our usual USD 407 policy and protocol. Your cooperation is appreciated as USD 407 works to keep everyone safe in our school and community!
