DEVELOPMENTAL SCREENINGS
Developmental screenings
USD 407, in partnership with KidLink and Russell Regional Hospital, are hosting developmental screenings for all children ages birth to 5 years. The screenings provide parents with information about hearing, vision, emotional, academic concepts, self help, and physical milestones. The screenings are a requirement for our 4 year old preschool application. These are not kindergarten screenings. Please use this link to sign up for a time.

PRESCHOOL APPLICATION
4 year old Simpson Pre-K applications are now being accepted for the Fall 2026-2027 school year. We will offer both an AM and PM section 5 days a week (minus one Friday off a month for required parent communication). Your child must be 4 as of August 31, 2026. Transportation will be provided to take students back to a licensed daycare at the end of AM or pickup to start the PM class. We will be accepting students for preschool based on at-risk factors and time of received application. Your child doesn’t have to have any at-risk factors to still be able to attend. An official roster will be released, the end of April. Please mark your calendars for our preschool preview family night on Thursday, April 23rd at 6:00 at Simspon. KINDERGARTEN
Students who are 5 years old as of August 31st, 2026 are eligible for Kindergarten. We will have an informational Kindergarten Roundup meeting at Simpson on Thursday, March 26th at 6:00pm. Please bring your child with you for this fun evening. You will sign up for a time slot to complete their screening on April 16th or 17th at Central Office. This screening gives us the opportunity to connect with you and your child. As well as provides us with information so we can prepare for the fall.
