RHS Announces 2020 Homecoming Modifications

Russell High School has announced the modification of its 2020 Homecoming festivities. All remaining Homecoming events scheduled for the week of Sept. 21-25 have been cancelled, and will be rescheduled for the week of Sept. 28-Oct. 3.

Friday’s football game with Southeast of Saline will take place, as scheduled.

“These modifications were made in the best interest of our students,” RHS Principal, Shawn Henderson, said. “We want Homecoming to be a special experience for our students. There were elements of the planning process that left out some of our student’s favorite activities, but those have now been resolved, and we are ready to move forward with a fun and exciting week of events”.

With the goal of making sure every precaution is taken to keep students of all grade levels safe, the traditional parade through downtown will not take place.

Class leadership will be meeting over the next 48 hours to finalize the complete schedule of events. The entire lineup of events will be announced later this week.

Thanks for your support of our students and all the teachers and staff of Russell High School.
