I grew up in Salida Colorado and graduated from Salida High School in 1989.
I attended many Universities over 9 years, including Western State College University, University of Colorado, Colorado State University, Colorado Mountain College, and Adams State College University. I graduated from Western State College University, majoring in Political Science with an emphasis in International Relations. I also obtained my secondary certification in Social Sciences.
I am married to Jeremy Kvasnicka, son of Roger Kvasnicka (who used to teach Math at Ruppenthal). I have two beautiful daughters, Madison and Nomi- both of whom live in Colorado. Madison is a junior high English teacher in Antonito, CO and Nomi is living in Salida, CO and exploring the many opportunities available in Chaffee County. I also have a stepson Derek who is in his senior year at K-State and a stepdaughter Kena who is a junior at Sylvan Lucas HS.
I have three AMAZING Boston Terrier’s, Skadi who is 12, Io who we rescued two years ago and is now 5, and Beyla who came to us from a puppy mill a year ago and is 7. If you ask my daughters they will tell you having grown up in the same home as Skadi that he is the favorite child;) I also have Lilac, my oldest daughters calico cat who is still happily wreaking havoc at age 18.
