Orender Wins Russell County Spelling Bee

2019 Rsl County Spelling Bee Participants

The Russell County Spelling Bee was held February 5th in the RMS auditorium at 10:00 a.m. Nineteen students competed at the county level. Results include:

Champion - Nikole Orender (6th grader from Ruppenthal Middle School)
Runner-up - Emily Cheek (6th grader from Natoma) 
 
The winner of the county bee advances to the 2019 Sunflower State Spelling Bee that is held at Newman University in Wichita, KS on Saturday March 9th. The winner of the State Spelling Bee will represent Kansas in the 2019 Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee.
