The BES Science Fair is held every year just before Spring Break, this year it was held on March 9, 2006. This is a very good learning experience for the 3rd-5th graders at BES. The students get to build their own project and present it in front of 2 judges. The judges are picked from the high school and there is 1 boy and 1 girl judge for each grade. The students scores are then added up and there is an open house to show how they did. There are a total of 11 places. The scoring starts with the Grand Champion trophy then to Gold, Silver, and Bronze metals. 4th-10th place ribbons are also handed out. If a student does not score in the top 11 they are give a participant ribbon. Everybody gets some sort of prize for entering.
