12 NCAA Initial- Eligibility Clearinghouse – If you want to be eligible to play at the NCAA Division I or II level you should register with the NCAA Clearinghouse. Guides and forms are available.

12 Barton County Community College summer class schedules for Russell are available. Enrollment is May 19, 7-8 p.m. in the RHS library. The ASSET test will be given from 6-7 p.m.

9-12 Air Force ROTC - Interested in the Air Force? ROTC can provide scholarships. Apply or get info at: www.AFROTC.com. Both KU and KSU have Army and Air Force ROTC.
9-12 Kansas Investment Developing Scholars (KIDS) is a matching grant program administered by the Kansas State Treasurer’s Office. The state of Kansas will match the first $600 of your contributions to a learning Quest account, Kansas 529 Education Savings Program. 2008 is the last year of this project. 11 Sunflower Bank Community Ambassadors – Juniors: if you would like to learn more about Russell and have a chance to win $1,000 in local scholarship money, pick up your application to be a Community Ambassador. Due May 31

9-11 Barton County Community College- Breaking Traditions- Career Exploration Opportunities June 10-12. This program is for 2008-09 9th, 10th & 11th graders. Participants attend a camp to experience non-traditional fields of work such as Early childhood education and Medical Lab Technology for guys and Agriculture, Automotive, Computer networking Graphic Design, EMT & energy industry technician for girls. 12 Monsignor Clement A. Kruse Scholarship – Applicants must be an active registered member of a Catholic parish in the Diocese of Salina. A letter from you pastor is required. Apply by July 1.
12 Marymount Memorial Educational Trust Scholarship – Applicant must be an active registered member of a Catholic parish in the Diocese of Salina and must attend a Catholic college as a fully time student. Apply by July 1.
