KAY (Kansas Association for Youth) Club

The KAY organization is sponsored by the KSHSAA and is open to all students of LLHS. The club carries out various school, community, and world service projects and service activities for the purpose of character development and leadership training for high school students.

Activities so far:
Membership Party--new members were initiated by going around Lucas and collecting certain items for a scavanger hunt
Krispy Kremedonut sales- members needed to sell 6 doz
Operation Christmas Child--collected and packed shoeboxes to be sent overseas and/or in the US
Helped at the Lucas Blood Drive--unload and load truck, helped donors
Monthly board meetings
Board members attended Regional conference at Natoma
Made turkey cookies/tray favors for Nursing Home

Other Activities:
Hanging of the Greens--Sunday, Dec.10,2:00PM--decorate the school for Christmas
KAYS Citizenship Week--Dec.4--8--we will write letters to military, adopt grandparents at Nursing Center
