I graduated from Thomas More Prep-Marian in 1997. I began taking college classes during the summer of 1995. I graduated from Fort Hays State University in May 2002 with my undergraduate degree in secondary education. I continued education with my Master's degree in Instructional Technology and graduated in 2010.
In 2007 I attended the American Woodworking and Furnishings Society (AWFS) Fair and College of Woodworking Knowledge. I also regularally attended the 4 State Regional Technology Conference in Pittsburg KS until the conference was discontinued. I also have attended the FHSU Drive-in Conference and Western Kansas Technology Education Fair.
I am currently teaching the woodworking, Drafting/CAD, and Carpentry programs here at RHS. This is my first year at the HS, but I began teaching in 407 in August 2013.
I began teaching and coaching in 2002 at Ransom High School teaching 8th grade through 12th grade. The subjects that I taught here were Drafting, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Metals/Welding, Woodworking, and Carpentry. I taught here for 2 years until the district consolidated with the Bazine School District.
For the next 9 years I taught Woodworking, Construction, and Drafting/CAD at Otis-Bison High School.
I began teaching the Technology program at RMS in August 2013. I taught the 6th, 7th,and 8th grade Technology classes here. We expand the curriculum every year by adding new equipment that is technologically advanced. Some of these imrovements have been the purchase and implementation of Pitsco Modules, Lego EV3 Robotics and a Makerbot 3D printer.
My wife Natalie and I were married in July 2000. We have 3 children:

They attend school in Hays where we live. We built our house in 2010 and started building my shop in 2012 which is an ongoing project.
I enjoy building wooden furniture in my shop.
