FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOLARSHIPS
Russell High School will host a Financial Aid Workshop, at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 14th in the RHS library. Topics for the evening include: Explanations and examples of financial aid, cost of attendance(COA), expected family contribution(EFC), as well as financial aid categories, types and sources. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is used for Federal grants and loans and will be a primary focus. Opportunities for local scholarships will also be reviewed.

KIDS Matching Grant program
Kansas Investments Developing Scholars (KIDS) is a matching grant program adminsitered by the Kansas State Treasurer’s office. The State of Kansas will match up to $600 for each student for who eligible account owners uopen a Kansas Learning Quest 529 Education Savings Program account. KIDS was developed for families with income less than 200% of the federal poverty level. Applications are due by December 31.
