I have been able to attend many professional conferences and workshops over the years that have helped me become a more effective teacher, and always look forward to attending more.
I am at Bickerdyke Elementary working with 4th and 5th grade teachers and Special Education students. I am an assistant high school Broncos basketball and softball coach.
In 2013 I began teaching Special Education English Language Arts at Ruppenthal Middle School. Back in August of 2008 I began teaching Special Education at Bickerdyke Elementary, and that is also when I began coaching in U.S.D. 407. I first began my teaching career in Leoti, KS, in August of 1999. In Leoti I taught fourth grade math and science for four years, and third grade for five years. I also coached middle school girls basketball while teaching in Leoti.
Todd and I were married in May of 1997 and have been blessed with three boys. Our oldest, Matt, attends FHSU, Brendon is a junior, and Jordayn is a 7th grader. We also have a Great Dane named Leoti.
I thoroughly enjoy watching my boys participate in their sporting events, reading mystery books, volunteering at church and Russell Recreation, coaching basketball and softball at Russell High School, and taking our Great Dane on walks. Napping is another activity I enjoy doing on Sunday afternoons. :)
