|PowerSchool Parent Single Sign On|
Posted Date: 08/28/2016
With the recent upgrade to PowerSchool, a handy feature called the Parent Single Sign On was included with the upgrade. The Parent Single Sign On allows a single username/password to access all of your students with one sign on. Click here to obtain a copy of the instructions on how to set up your profile. Prior to establishing your account, parents/guardians must obtain access keys from their student’s attendance center.
The PowerSchool mobile app is also functional with this update. The district code to the portal is LCXH. Users may also search for the district by name. Download the app and get connected! Click here for more information.
USD 407 utilizes an automated parent notification system to quickly and efficiently notify parents of important school and district information. Such notices include information regarding school closures/delays, security alerts, absence notifications, cafeteria balances, grades, attendance, upcoming school activities and more. Alert Solutions is integrated with the existing PowerSchool Parent Portal. If you log-on to the Parent Portal, you will now see a new link called “Alert Solutions 2.” Instructions for setting user preferences are also included on the link above.
This means parents must provide express consent to receive general messages through automated calls and SMS text messages on their mobile device(s). Consent is not required if the call or text is for emergency purposes or if made directly required to “opt in” to receive automated communications on their mobile device. Due to recent changes to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), parents are nowfrom a principal, teacher or other staff member. Click here to obtain a copy of the form to allow USD 407 to contact you on your mobile device. If you haven’t done so at enrollment, we’d like for you to complete the form and return it to your student’s attendance center and allow USD 407 to use this avenue to share information.
If you experience difficulty setting up your account or have questions, please contact your student’s attendance center or Jane Cline at the District Office for assistance. Jane Cline can be reached by calling 785-483-2173 or emailing at firstname.lastname@example.org.
